Thursday 1/21/10 Acts Chapter 25

Well it is offical... I must be getting older...  I am going to talk about the weather!!!  We have had a ton of rain and are expecting more today!!  We are expecting almost 5 inches of rain today (which is how much we usually get in a whole year!)  Now to some of you you don't get it but in the desert the ground is so hard it can not absorb all that moisture at once so it causes all kind of interesting things like washes, lakes on any flat land (like playgrounds) and streets become like rivers.  They even have a law here in Az that if you do not follow road closer or flooded signs and you get stuck you have to pay for (they bill you) the rescue.  So in other words we don't really understand water unless it is in a swimming pool, coming out of a hose or in a real lake.
There are so many things you can compare this much rain to I think for me it is like teaching (what a surprise!)  I think for myself I think just because I know something and I am trying to teach it that others should be able to absorb it... See where I am going with this.  I think we have to be patient when we are trying to teach others (old or young) and take it at the rate they learn it.  Instead of pouring all the information at once on them.  Now for me when I am learning something I have to do the old building blocks method, I have to understand first things first then build off that.

Acts 25:

1-12 How many times have you been falsely accused of doing something, anything??  I know for me I have had this done and I want to deal with it then and there. The waiting is the hardest part!!  Then after pleading my case to find out still others have issues or want to put me on trial....  I can only imagine how Paul must have felt.  He jumps over heads and goes right to Caesar.

13-22  Amazing how "processing" with someone has been around for so long.  For some reason Festus was having trouble with making any decision with Paul... (I wonder if God was already stirring up his heart?)

23-27 I can really picture this scene... As the two royal guest enter the room with all "great pomp" and then they want to hear from Paul....  Looks like tomarrow is going to be interesting~

Be safe and stay dry Arizona!!
