"Son"day 1/24/10 Acts 27

Sorry about missing a day yesterday :(  Sometimes life takes control and something has to slip from our grips.  I must say thou I really did miss the community I feel when I write this.  I feel I like I can be true and honest and not be judged although maybe it is to the point that I don't care if I am judged. Must be I am maturing...(finally)  It was brought to my attention this morning in reading our new Pastors' blog about being needed.  It is really a wonderful feeling to be needed!!  We have to remember this so we can bless others by needing them.  This is hard and humbling to ask for help or relying on someone else.  It makes us feel so good when others need us imagine how good others will feel when we need them.....I think the reason why we are such "needy" beings is so that we will need God.  He doesn't force Himself on us He sits back and waits for us to need Him.   It is such a 2 way street...

Acts 27:

3 amazed again at God's word and how He relates to me.... "Julius in kindness to Paul allowed him to go to his friends so they might provide for his needs.  (I write the paragraph before I read.... this is amazing!)

1-8  sounds like many road trips I have been on.  many detours and set backs, many cities.

9-12 don't know how many times my kids or passengers in the car have given me advice on taking a different route or not going at all.(my hubby is good at that) do I listen???? NO!!

13-20  Sometimes this is so much more like my life not a road trip or a trip in a boat but life.... I try and try and try to do it my way or save what I have and think I can not be saved.  This could be finaces, relationships, work, car problems etc. 

21-26 I hate being told  "I TOLD YOU SO"!!   That is exactly were Paul is he told them not to go.  So when you find yourself in the situation where someone is saying 'I TOLD YOU SO" 25 "So keep up your courage, men for I have faith in God......"

31 Paul gives advise again about a situation and they still don't listen... Don't even get me started...

44 everyone reached the land safely....
