Thursday 1/14/10 Acts Chapter 18

Yesterday I spent the day trying to motivate my students during PE.  Some are having a trouble when it comes to doing the Endurance Ran for Presidential Physical Fitness.  So yesterday I ran/chased the kids to try and teach them how to push themselves.  They did really great!  After 7 classes yesterday I am really sore and tired today.  I still got up and walked.  Today only will have to run with 3 of my classes.  It is amazing to me how much the kids love to have an adult work out with them.  So my challange.... Find a kid to work out with you will both be thankful in the end!!  (and if you remember my post from yesterday.... becareful what you pray for, it may come true!)

Chapter 18:

1-8 Okay I have had a plan on what I thought I should do and tried and tried and people wouldn't listen.  I can so understand what Paul is feeling.

9 this verse brings all the hope and we should refer to it when we are feeling discouraged.  The Lord spoke these words to Paul in a vision:  "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.  For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city"

26 I love the words of Priscilla and Azuila as they spoke to Apollos, First off then invited him into their home and then taught him the way of God more adequately.

27 to me this is alittle funny, they wrote to the disciples to welcome him.  with no email, postal service, telegraph this was not an easy task...  I don't even think there was paper and pencil.  to write a note was a huge thing.  just think of delivery it, no addresses.

28 what a way to be described... vigorously refuted the Jews in public debate, proving from the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ!!
